Urbandale beat Dowling 35-27 on Friday night at Valley Stadium.

The win was the first in school history over Dowling on the gridiron.

Urbandale fell behind 7-0 but on the first play from scrimmage after a Dowling touchdown, Logan Augustine hooked up with Allen Lazard on a 77 yard touchdown.  The J-Hawks then went ahead 14-7 just before the half on a two yard touchdown by Markell Colemon. 

Logan Augustine and Abdul Mansary connected on two additional scoring plays through the air in the second half, before Blake Caluzzi closed out the scoring in the final minute.

Urbandale moves to 4-0 with the victory and opens Division play next Friday, September 21, 2012, at Frerichs Field when they host DM Lincoln.
