The #6-Seeded Urbandale J-Hawk Softball Team beat the #5-Seeded Ankeny Hawks 6-5 on Thursday afternoon to capture the Third Place trophy in the Class 5A State Softball Tournament. This was the J-Hawk softball programs first appearance at state since three consectuive trips from 2015-2017 (6th, 4th, 4th). 

The 24 wins are the most in a season since 2018 and their first winning seasons since that season as well.
