The #12 Urbandale J-Hawks (16-14, 3-9) were at the 2024 DCG Mustang Invite taking place at the Dallas Center Baseball and Softball complex in Dallas Center, IA. It rained heavily in the morning forcing the games to be delayed 1 hour from their original start times. 

In game 1, the J-Hawks took on the Ballard Bombers out of the Raccoon River Conference. The final score was 7-0 in favor of the J-Hawks! Here is a breakdown of the game:

In game 2, the J-Hawks took on the Class 4A, #2 DCG Mustangs (24-5) out of the Little Hawkeye Conference. These two teams met earlier in the season at the Jack North Invite at Waukee NW with DCG winning that matchup. The final score for the J-Hawks was 6-8. Here is a breakdown of the game:

• Urbandale: 6-11-1
• DCG: 8-14-2

The J-Hawks will be on the road at Dowling on June 29th to complete a rescheduled DH from earlier this week. The team is 17-15 on the season.
