Pending approval by the Urbandale Community School District's Board of Directors on Monday, October 14, 2024, Troy Troncin will be named the next Head Baseball Coach at Urbandale High School.

Troncin is no stranger to Barton Field, as he was an Assistant Coach for the J-Hawks from 2017-2021 and helped lead them to back-to-back State titles in 2018 and 2019. In addition to his time with the J-Hawks, Troncin has coached at Waukee Northwest from 2022-2023 and most recently at Bondurant-Farrar for the 2024 season. His teams qualified for State in 2018, 2019, & 2020. 

Troncin takes over for Eric Evans, who led the J-Hawks for 3 seasons. He will oversee a program that has amassed 4 State titles in its storied history and numerous CIML championships.
