On Saturday, Oct. 20th, 27 students from Urbandale High School auditioned for the Iowa All-State Chorus. The selection process is very competitive, with approximately 17% of auditionees being selected to participate in the All-State Music Festival in Ames, Iowa on Nov. 15 – 17, 2012. It is the highest individual honor a student can receive from the Iowa High School Music Association.

The selected students will perform in the 600-voice ensemble Saturday, November 17th at 7:30 PM in Hilton Coliseum on the Iowa State University Campus. The performance will be broadcast on Iowa Public Television on Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, November 22nd) at 7:00 PM and Sunday, November 25th at 5:30 PM.
